A poor night's sleep often triggers a search for quick solutions. For early-morning athletes, it is tempting to find something that improves sleep without changing bedtime. But no product creates the hours missing from a schedule.
Look at your routine first
For several days, record bedtime, waking time, caffeine, meals and training. Include nighttime hunger and discomfort after large meals. The goal is to identify concrete obstacles, rather than turn sleep into another performance test.
If the alarm rings at five and bedtime is midnight, limited sleep opportunity needs to be addressed. If someone spends enough time in bed but sleeps poorly, the investigation differs. Persistent problems deserve assessment, especially with loud snoring or substantial daytime sleepiness.
What the magnesium review supports
A 2026 systematic review of trials in adults found inconsistent results and low or very low certainty. Its abstract does not support oral magnesium as a routine insomnia treatment. Some subjective outcomes may improve in certain adults, but that is not a general promise.
Population matters: results in adults with varied conditions do not automatically establish benefits in healthy athletes. They also do not validate a commercial multi-ingredient formula.
Magnesium, inositol and melatonin are not interchangeable
Each ingredient has its own characteristics. Combining magnesium, inositol, glycine or melatonin does not allow efficacy claims to be added together. Evidence for one component at a particular dose in a specific population does not validate the whole mixture.
True Magnésio + Inositol Relief 3.0 is a commercial range whose composition should be checked for the chosen version. Different versions exist; specifically check whether melatonin is present. It does not replace insomnia assessment, an appropriate routine or individual advice about interactions and use.

One action for this week
Choose an observable obstacle: organize dinner earlier, discuss caffeine with the responsible professional or align bedtime more closely with waking time. Track what changes before introducing several interventions.
The research lesson is to set realistic expectations. Nutrition discussions can include supplements, provided buying something is not presented as a proven solution for a difficulty that has not yet been understood.
Educational content for adults; it does not replace individual assessment and planning with a qualified professional.
